Background

Marco was born into a twelve-person family that lived in the south side of Manhattan, New York. Despite the somewhat cramped conditions, the Bellincioni's were prosperous and happy. This was thanks to the foundation laid by the first generations of the family who arrived after fleeing Italy in 1920, whose skills varied from manual laborers to criminals looking to make an easy dollar. His father Giuseppe happened to be one of the latter, opting to print and launder money. This hardly effected the early years of Marco's life though, as his father always seemed to be present for all his important accomplishments growing up. Unfortunately, this blissful ignorance was quickly destroyed as at the age of eight he watched the NYPD storm into his home and take his father away in handcuffs. In the days following, Marco received letters from his father delivered by an officer under a bribe by the Bellincioni's. It was decided he would go live with his uncle Angelo until his father returned home which he said was "at least five years". Uncle Angelo was like your typical mobster. Kinda short, overweight and chain-smoked cigars. If he wasn't out doing business for the family or out doing electrician work, he was at home relaxing on his chair. He was also a big fan of professional wrestling and would watch every match he could on television. Marco would plant down next to him on the floor and watch in awe as he witnessed larger than life men telling stories by putting their bodies on the line. From day one, Marco was hooked. Soon, wrestling consumed his life. On Marco's 13th Birthday, Angelo called in a favor with one of his friends on the inside to get him and Marco front row seats to a live event in Madison Square Garden. Nothing could have prepared Marco for how electrifying the crowd's cheers and chants truly were. Thousands in attendance all screaming as their favorite wrestlers stepped out from behind the curtain is enough to shake you to your very core. It seemed the night couldn't get any more magical for Marco, but that was before Uncle Angelo brought him backstage to meet the crew and some of his favorite wrestlers. It was here Marco was introduced to his second love, telecommunication. Now, he was able to see the amount of effort that went into making sure the people at home could watch the spectacle. Now that he got a taste of the life, Marco strived to get a role amongst the WWWF, the premier wrestling promotion on the east coast. Despite having an in with some family friends, Marco wanted to do things the right way. He wanted to earn his spot in the promotion. So, for years, Marco trained both his body and his mind, regularly hitting the gym and the books. After graduating from high school with outstanding grades, Marco approached the WWWF with interest of working with them either as on-screen talent or as part of the stage crew. Anything to get him involved. While no in-ring positions were available, the turnover rate for the stage crew was surprisingly high which helped Marco land a gig During this period, Marco worked himself to the bone. Over a decade of training, schooling, and working, there was no signs of him being moved up to the roster. In the summer of 1992, Marco finally got word that he was being looked at for potentially moving up into the roster. Unfortunately, this would never come to light as on December 8th, 1992, Marco received a call telling him that his father was at the hospital in critical condition. After arriving at the hospital, it was there on his death bed that Giuseppe would ask Marco to take over his role in the family business. At first, Marco would push back. Telling him that despite being family, this isn't what he wanted in life. Eventually Marco's persistence faltered, and he promised to honor his father's wish. With a sly smile and light head nod, Giuseppe leaned back in the hospital bed and closed his eyes for the final time. The next few years of Marco's life moved very quickly. He decided to call it quits at his job and focus full time on making sure his father's share of the family still runs smoothly. As a base of operations, Marco opened up a gym by the name of Forte Palestra that was placed next pizza joint owned by Elmo Russo, the new don of the Russo family. Through a mutual enjoyment of combat sports, the two tended to do business with each other quite often and formed a powerful flow of cash to both families. Soon it was time to celebrate the marriage between Elmo's son and the daughter of the head of the Costello family. A wedding to intertwine two families in order to become the new Sixth Family. Unfortunately, a strange disease began to spread amongst the state and with inside whispers of potential lockdowns, Marco fled to Braddock Island with Elmo and his friends in a stolen boat unaware of what their future held.
