Background

Tyrus lived with his mother in Montebello, California for most of his life. Growing up, his family never had much despite Tyrus always desiring for more. He envied those that have more than him. What he doesn't have, he takes. It felt natural to him. Robbery, scams, and thefts were part of his life. His mother didn't say no to the money either. He boosted cars and stripped them apart to sell for parts or sell them to anyone willing to buy from him. However, karma eventually caught up to him when he was arrested for theft during a run that went bad. He served his time and then got out early on parole. He joined the military soon after, joining the motorized corps as a mechanic. He did two tours of duty on both and greatly enjoyed his service time. He commented that his time in the military taught him discipline and purpose. He never saw combat. When he returned from military service, he bought a new house and moved to Maine. His new life was peaceful for the most part until he was eventually arrested again for multiple car thefts, this time locking him up in a state penitentiary. He stayed there, adapting to prison life until the infection hit. He and other prisoners took advantage of the chaos and took over the prison in a revolt. The penitentiary became their fortress until internal conflicts caused it to be overrun by infected. Since then Tyrus has been traveling, stumbling on an abandoned boat and riding it to Braddock Island.
