Megan West
She/Her
24 years old
Typical
50 kg
Personality
Quiet, and somewhat aloof, but when you finally get to know her, she can be kind. In terms of dealing with Violence, it would take a great deal of pushing to get her to genuinely react violently, but when she hits her tipping point, she can be quite ruthless. If she can't use words, she will use a knife to get the point conveyed completely.
Appearance
5'5", pale skin, short-medium blonde hair in a bob, if not worn back out of her eyes. Black rimmed glasses and blue eyes, as well as freckles.
Background
Born and raised in California- Megan was fortunate to be born into a family with wealth beyond her means. Old money. Yet despite this- She learned early on in her childhood the meaning of letting people find out, and the ramifications of people desperate for money, and the manipulations they would be willing to do. Even to one so young. To keep to an image, it was repeatedly compounded into her mentality- "Show the world who you are. Show them your worth beyond the dollar. For the Dollar is both a blessing and a curse- and we will not be bogged down by curses." This went hand-in-hand that growing up, her Mother was a very superstitious woman. No black cats, avoiding breaking mirrors, no stepping under ladders, you could imagine it. Megan didn't really believe it herself, until she accidentally broke a mirror, and later in the year- Her mother fell deathly ill. The two incidents were entirely unrelated, but in her child mind- it clicked and made sense.
After her mother passed, her Father would grieve for roughly a year, and when she turned 10- Marry a new woman who turned their whole concept of how to act in life, upside down. Now forcing to uphold images in society and not be a 'disappointment', going on into her teens, this forced Megan into acts of Rebellion. Instead of following her father's path, she chose instead to attend UCLA, and despite being completely covered for the schooling- she refused to acknowledge that her schooling was taken care of, often feigning that she 'earned her place' with scholarships. So she stayed at UCLA until she graduated with her Masters in Pharmacology.
In celebration for the milestone, Her closest companion and lover, Dr. Henry West, would propose and make their once-hidden relationship a legitimate one. Their particular relationship, on the books- Cordial and professional, but beyond the curtains: Intimate. They had been patiently waiting until after she had graduated to be able to announce their relationship openly, to avoid accusations. Immediately after they were happily married, there was a wonderful, short honeymoon.. And upon returning- an immediate trip to LV, to be able to join a music festival that had both of their favorite bands performing at the same venue. A form of extension to their otherwise short honeymoon.
With the start of the apocalypse- What Megan initially presumed as unrealistic hysteria, falsehoods and claiming ridiculousness, it would come as a shock and surprise to see that what was being rumored was indeed true. Horrified to what has happened, she'd cling close to her husband and try to adapt to what befalls of her world, to which what would happen remain a mystery. Stranded in Knox county with only one person she would know and recognize, fear will take hold and the unknown will be overwhelming. Whatever horrors that follow, will only be able to be discovered as time unfolds.
