Gemma Fawkes
She/Her
26 years old
Typical
50 kg
Personality
Strong sense of justice and yet rebellious to a degree, this one may seem contradicting, but in the end, she is just a youthful spirit who gladly will jump into any arguments where she gets to talk about her beliefs. She is strongly into socialism and believes in equalism and the right to live freely as one self as long as it doesn’t cause harm to others.
On the surface she may seem laid back, care-free and like she doesn’t really care too much about what the world has turned into, but on the inside, she can be stubborn, bitter and deeply scared of not having the approval and acceptance of the people she looks up to.
She is warm and loyal to the ones she considers “her people” but likes her independence, and she tends to show how she feels with her actions rather than words, preferring to have her hands busy rather than talking.
Appearance
Gemma loves pink and metallic colors and often adorns them onto herself. She is recognizable by her dyed pink hair and usually pink accented outfits, though underneath lays a natural dark blonde tone. She is light skinned with a slight tan and often speaks in a British accent, that's softened by her years in New York. About 170 cm tall / 5'7 tall and has deep blue eyes.
Background
A goldsmith and jeweler that originally was born in the outskirts of London, England. Her parents were rather laid-back and borderline hippies, despite her father’s international corporate work, and even as they later moved together to the united states, Gemma was always encouraged to be her authentic self and not base herself on what other people needed and wanted. The encouragement meant that Gemma grew up to be a free-spirited soul with lots of opinions and hobbies, but it also meant that there were never really sturdy enough guidelines in her early childhood to follow along with.
She would occasionally get into trouble during her high school years, cheating on tests and skipping class all together being the light end of the troubles, and learning how to counterfeit id cards and smuggle in various trinkets and snacks to sell at school being on the heavy side of the troubles she would get into.
She eased up a little once finishing high school, instead of ending up in an expected life of crime, rather ended up finding joy in attending trade school as a jeweler and later goldsmith. The less book-heavy part of the classes here would keep her focused for once, and much to the delight of her parents, she would start focusing on education and her hobbies, rather than how she could trick the system she was forced into.
She would later on go to visit relatives in Louisville, both to actually see them, but also to have a peek at the punk rock scene in Louisville, though unfortunately for her, not long after her arrival to the city, the rifts appeared, trapping her there along with so many others.
She would at first blend into the background at the hotel, living off scraps and generosity, but eventually start to get into tinkering with metal bits and bobs and work up some level of affinity with weapon smithing in these new conditions. Selling makeshift weaponry became for a long while her way of making a living underground, but eventually as time passed, she would start longing for life outside of it for once.
