Personality

The embodiment of narcisism, the less humble person in the entire world, the only thing bigger than is ego is the mount Everest. Zane is the classic person that talks to listen his own voice, when he's talking to people he loves to look them in the eyes just to capture is own reflection. If we can resume the personality with one his thoughts it could be: "you can think that we are similar, that we share the same shell of flesh and bones, maybe we even share some thoughts and taste, that we are remotely comparable but simply I'M NOT THERE; I AM IN A COMPLETE DIFFERENT PLANE OF EXISTANCE THAT YOU CANNOT EVEN THINK TO ARCHIEVE". Besides being the definition of a narcisist Zane is also a well mannered man with great taste in every artistic field from paintings, music and perfumes, he has very unique and refined taste and when he's not busy talking about himself he can be the best partner for a deep conversation. He doesn't care too much about anything except the concepts behind things and mostly the meaning of actions and ideas... and his mom of course. He would never agree to sacrifice his own life in a dangerous situation for someone, but he has a strong will to work for an ideal and to sacrifice everything he loves except himself for it and not moral regrets in using "uncoventional methods" if they are mandatory to reach his goal.

Appearance

A 6'2 tall man with an extremely beautiful face and perfectly balanced lineament, icy eyes, black hairs with a tidy and trimmed beard. His phisique is atletic and with defined muscles. He has a deep tone of voice that can capture easily the attention of the listener, sometimes you can smell an incense like fragrance from him or some other complex olfactory notes of patchouli, leather and minerals coming from niche and artistic perfumes he used to have back in the days.

Background

His mother was a tailor, his father was a gambling man down in New Orleans... and New Orleans is where Zane was born in 1960 from an italian mother and an american father that decided to go buy some cigs and never came back when Zane was only 3 years old. So he grew up with his mother and since he was a little kid used to spend a lot of time in her tailor shop since she didn't had the time to look after him and work to maintain both of them. Spending this much time with his italian mother since he was a little kid gave Zane a pretty strong italian accent and knoledge of it. So that created an intense link with her and on the other side a hate for his father that abandoned both of them to a life of economic instability. As he grew up after finishing high school, Zane realized he worked best in places where rules were clear and everyone knew their role... and since he couldn't afford to pursue his dream to became an artist due to the lack of financial capability, the military looked like the only real way out of the financial mess he and his mother lived in. So at eighteen, he signed up. He adapted slowly but with consinstency, starting from the routine and getting into the discipline. He kept his head down, did the work, and slowly built a reputation as a reliable person, not the best in the field but at least not the worst, which was a sort of loss for him since his narcisisstic ego that tends to push himself to be the first in every field. After a few years, including a deployment, he left the service with good enough evaluation for few officers willing to vouch for him. When he got back to New Orleans, he wanted something stable, something that could help his financial situation and put in use what he learned. The FBI is known for recruiting veterans with clean records and good discipline, so he decided to sign up. His military background helped him get through the early screening, but the rest wasn’t easy. It took months interviews, physical tests and for psychological checks. He passed with not the best results, but he passed. And when the training in Quantico started, he worked hard to be the best of the class... failing and being a mediocre man as always, not the best but not the worst... at least he never screwed up under pressure, which was the most important thing. When he finally graduated, he sent part of his first paycheck back to his mother’s shop to help her and make her proud of him. Joining the FBI wasn’t about status or a badge. It was about proving mostly to himself that he was capable of something not reachable for a normal person and mostly that he wasn’t going to disappear like his father did. Anyway Zane didn't gave up on his interest in art and fashion, occasionally helping his mom in the tailor shop sewing himself some fine suits and spending part of his salary for niche and artistic perfumes covering any kind of olfactory families from woody to fougere and even cyphre, the decision of what outfit to wear and matching the perfume for the mood of the day is a classic ritual of the day for him. And he spread his passions even to his co workers and friend group too giving to that cold federal office a touch of personality and elegance. 1993: So after some years of career Zane became a FBI Agent with some years of field experience, primarily assigned to investigative support within financial crime cases in the state of California. By directive of the Los Angeles Field Office, he was assigned as a secondary element to a low visibility protective detail for a civilian cooperating with the Department of Justice. The individual was assessed as a high value cooperator with a critical role to an ongoing federal investigation. The subject needed to be transported to Luisville in the Knox County and refused air travel for visibility and personal reasons. As a result, the department of justice approved rail transport to reduce public exposure, avoid airport security handoffs, and maintain continuity of observation. So Zane arrived in Knox at the first of March 1993 after a boring transport were nothing happened and started living there to work on the case. If only Zane knew what was about to happen to the world, he would have bought a ticket to go back to his mother in New Orleans a lot of days before the 9 of March.
