Background
Cady was born and raised in Knox county, Specifically Doe Valley. What should've been a 'normal' childhood was met with a unique challenge. An accident happened that left Cady mute. There was difficulty for her to adjust to this life at first, but eventually she learned how to communicate with others with a mixture of ASL and writing on notebooks, and for dire situations- Using a tape that has several pre-recorded messages, such as "I need help" or "I am mute" to quickly convey what writing or ASL could not. Despite this, with the love and care of two very well-to-do and soundly adjusted parents, Cady took to enjoying a life of Farming, with a side of rebellion that lead to her secret love- Moonshining.
When she came of age, she was sent away to Texas- to help her Uncle, and more importantly, expand on her knowledge of farming and homesteading so that when she eventually returned home, she would be of more use to the Madison Farm. It certainly helped that her Uncle was also a notorious moonshiner as well; teaching her the best ways to LEGALLY make and enjoy the shine. When the rifts begun, panic set in and there was only one sole drive in mind for Cady- To return home.
Without her uncle knowing- she took one of his horses and began the long trek back to Knox. However, unfortunate circumstances happened and halfway on the journey- she ended up losing her horse. The rest of her time spent in the time it took to get to home- Was spent walking, and hitchhiking where she could. Due to unforeseen circumstances in her journey, injuries here and there resulted in her being holed up to rest and heal. This took a few months and then some, but thanks to the kindness of strangers she had met on this journey, she was able to recover adequately and safely. Once rested up and healthy to move again- She was on her way. Despite the delays, regardless of what happens upon arrival- Cady was adamant on finding her own way home.
