Background

Lena Beaumont is not your typical southern girl, but she does come from a very traditional aristocratic southern family. Her family name can be traced back to the famous Beaumont races held in Lexington, Kentucky and far beyond. However, she was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and has a somewhat large extended family spread amongst the southern states. She has two older brothers and one older sister, making her the youngest of her immediate kin. Lena's father raised and trained champion Thoroughbred horses for the derby. But Lena doesn't like to discuss or care much for her aristocratic roots, in fact, she rejects them and often gives a false surname, usually Brown. Lena studied musical theater and dance in college and was trained in classical ballet, tap, modern, and contemporary dance. As a young adult, she roamed the southern states after dropping out of college and becoming an adult dancer, before finally moving to Kentucky several months ago to stay with her cousin. She was hoping to start a new life in the bluegrass state and clearly is running from something or someone from her past. She usually dresses very plainly, often in a flannel, denim, or corduroy jacket with jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Lena's mother would profoundly disapprove of her attire and choices as she was often forced to strut around in beauty pageants at her mother's volition. Lena stayed with her cousin outside Louisville until the craziness started and a rift took her cousin Jen away. Since then, for the past year, Lena's been running...hiding...surviving and searching for her lost cousin. She knows there's no way back to Savannah and by now the once vibrant, vivacious woman is beaten down and exhausted and likely to have some kind of side effects from long term isolation.
