Darius is a normally calm, collected individual. Darius tends to enjoy helping people, especially those who've helped him out. He tends to be a bit blunt when he talks, normally being straightforward with conversations. He's not exactly afraid of violence, having lived in violent environments during his youth. If provoked with words, Darius will tend to keep it within the lines of non-conflicted, but he is a bit harsh when defending himself or his friends. If provoked with violence, Darius tends to jump-in head first into conflict to defend himself or those he knows.
Appearance
Darius is a white/Caucasian male in his mid 20s. His neck is embellished with an old tattoo, lightly faded from cheap ink. He's got brown eyes, and black hair that tends to border on a more punk-grunge look. There are a few scars from stab wounds or lacerations from his youth, which are mostly faded, but permanent. His typical dress attire tends to be neutral colors of black and gray, almost always wearing a baseball cap.

Darius is a professionally trained nurse and emergency medical technician. Due to his delinquent youth, Darius has some trained ability with knives, and blunted objects. Having been raised in a home that couldn't afford hired help to maintain it, Darius is also familiar with some 'do-it-yourself' projects.
Background
Darius was a low-income delinquent from Baltimore, Maryland. Typically getting on suspension or in trouble with local authority was almost a past time to him before his college years. During a standard middle through high school life, Darius had been in several conflicts with other neighborhoods and schools resulting in somewhat violent conflicts. Darius had sub-par grades before graduation and landed him work in minimum wage jobs.
After graduating high school, Darius realized he was tired of getting into fights, and turned his original 'hood rat' energy into a medically inclined goal. His grades were too poor to get a normalized scholarship, so he also applied himself as a graveyard-shift EMT, using late nights and copious amounts of coffee to fuel his desire. Darius worked out of Johns Hopkins, a learning hospital also out of Baltimore. The few years ahead to catch back up on his missed education would be a tough road ahead; Darius earned his RN, and EMT certifications while also keeping up well enough in his studies to get a bachelors in paramedicine and emergency management.
As Darius finished up his degrees, he was aiming for some time off, away from Baltimore to get a fresh breath of air to clear his head. One of his distant family members recommended a cruise; fairly cheap on the east coast, the only downside was the ten hour drive up to New York. Sure, Darius had a car, but his budget was pretty tight, even dipping into some of his college funds to afford the cruise. This plan took time, and Darius had to work extra shifts to get the funding required for the cruise.
With his bags packed, and a fresh outlook for the future, Darius would’ve left Baltimore for the cruise leaving New York. The drive was pleasant, the only thought lingering in his mind if his car would hold up for the trip home. Unbeknownst to him that it would be the final time he would’ve seen the city, and the least of his worries for the lingering future ahead.
