Background

Douglas Brandon McBride, commonly referred to as 'Doug', was born on Braddock Island along with his brother Thomas back in the early 1950's in a strict Christian household where every day was a day to thank the Lord for everything. Whilst Thomas truly devoted himself to this, growing up Doug wasn't truly convinced by the thought of religion but would often pray and go to Church as he didn't want to upset his family. In his early years at school, he discovered alcohol as his first love alongside Football. He would always get someone to buy him a 6 pack at the local store so he could enjoy them when the NY Jets were playing. On one of those Sunday's he would find his true love who just happened to be at the one Jets game he made in person, Cassandra. They fell in love quickly and they were inseparable. Graduating high school, he didn't see many options available to himself, so he ended up starting his own hunting and fishing group to sell the proceeds to local markets, making an honest living. He'd also remain close with his brother, attending church when he could and making regular appearances at the dinner table in the McBride home. Through the years, Doug would open his own Fishing and Hunting store before quickly reverting to a Fishing store, selling his catch and bait alike whilst also helping on the family ranch. Unfortunately, Cassandra would pass away from Cancer leaving Doug alone. From here, he would drink heavily and stick his head into his work to keep busy which he has been doing up until the upcoming events.
