As a player you can claim up to three vehicles right-click the vehicle, and click 'Claim Vehicle', this will protect your vehicle from theft and looting.
A player may not posses more than their three vehicles. If you are caught collecting vehicles at your safehouse, you will receive a strike and have those vehicles deleted.
All vehicles may be salvaged. This includes taking needed parts to get your vehicle running, to completely breaking the vehicle down to metal. This does not mean it's okay to strip every vehicle in a parking lot. Anyone caught mass stripping and leaving husks behind will be issued a strike.
Everyone can claim a Safehouse of their own which will protect your items and containers, but you may only claim a safehouse that makes sense for your groups size, one player cannot claim the enterity of a mall, but a large group of survivors could. If you're unsure about which buildings you can or can't claim feel free to open a ticket and ask. This rule also extends to player made bases, one player cannot reasonably create and hold down an entire town on his own.
Your safehouse will be deleted automatically after 21 days of IRL time away from your safehouse, logging on will not reset the timer you MUST visit your safehouse.
You can ask for your safehouse to include more buildings or to extend the perimeter, this will be handled in a case-by-case basis.
Safehoused or player made doors, gates, or fences are always to be Role played as locked, meaning you may not enter without the owners consent or approval there are some exceptions however (link to PvP rules)
Your player base cannot close off a major road, if it does the faction or safe house owner is expected to provide a reasonable alternative for players driving through the area.
Your base is expected to have a realistic design, meaning you cannot have a building floating with a single support, you cannot use a Wall/Crate/Wall design.
Staff events are ran and planned by our event team they will be announced and all players are welcome to participate.
Staff events may have rules defined before or during the event. These will typically be enforced IC, but they may also have been OOC enforced. Staff will always have a final say on what is allowed to happen during the event.
If you want to derail a staff event with your own RP, you will need a ticket approved beforehand. Organic RP is acceptable, but premeditated disruption where you've failed to notify the organiser of your plans is not. This includes playing music either through instruments or with a boombox.
Server Space: Sometimes when an event is taking place we reach max server space. On the off chance this happens players who're NOT participating in the event may be disconnected to make room for staff who need to connect to aid in running the event. This is rarely done and with heavy consideration
Players are welcome and encouraged to plan and prepare events of any scale, be it a small get together or a large gathering between factions!
Player events may have assistance from staff, this is ultimately up to the player's decision and the event being planned.
As a player you can choose to have your event announced publicly in the discord server or not, ultimately the choice is yours.
As player events are a large undertaking other players may not crash these events unannounced or attempt to derail these events, any action that interfere with a player event must be planned ahead of time with the event runner in an rp planning ticket or an event planning ticket.
Strip clubs, sex work, and other sex clubs are allowed to be briefly and tastefully mentioned in your character’s backstory, but not RPed in-game. No money or items should change hands for ERP and no characters should engage in sexual acts with other players for profit.
Wasteland respects the freedom of players to RP as they wish, including ERP. However, it is far from the focus of the server and the same should apply to your characters.
Hugs and kisses are not defined as ERP and are allowed in public areas.
Players who choose to engage in ERP should do so in a secluded location with reasonable expectations of privacy and halt RP if that is no longer the case. ERP must be in a private chat channel. Use the Cogwheel on your chat window to initiate one. It has a 10 tile radius.
New players to the server must be 18 or older and select the (Age: +18) role. There are a small number of minors left on the server from before the 18+ rule. If you suspect a player is a minor and engaging in ERP, open a ticket to report them.
